U.S. cavalry officer Hemp Brown is court-martialed and discharged from the Army after being accused of permitting his men to walk into a deadly ambush by armed bandits. Attempting to track down the real culprit and prove his innocence, he joins a travelling medicine show where he falls in love with a snake-oil peddler who helps him restore his name.
