Duke and Willoughby, a couple of rodeo peanut vendors, get mixed up with western novelist Bronco Bob Mitchell. Bob has never been west of Brooklyn, so to prove his mettle, Bob heads to a dude ranch, where he tries to curry favor with the ranch owner's daughter. Meanwhile, Duke and Willoughby run afoul of a local Indigenous tribe, whose chief demands that Willoughby marry his daughter.
